Types of Fibroid

Types of Fibroid
Fibroids can grow in different sizes and its causes are unknown with black women being especially susceptible. The three main types of uterine fibroids are:
- Subserosal fibroids: They grow outside of the uterus.
- Intramural fibroids: They grow in the muscular wall of the uterus.
- Submucosal fibroids: These grow in the open space inside the uterus and also may have what is known as stalk.
The Stigma Surrounding Fibroid
In many developing countries, fibroids are highly stigmatized due to a lack of proper understanding. Women experiencing this condition are often subjected to unfounded accusations, such as infidelity or being punished by divine forces. As a result, it is not uncommon for them to turn to spiritual interventions, such as seeking help from churches or voodoo priests, when what they truly need is appropriate medical care and support.
